TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS FOR PARENTS

Our telephone consultation service is an opportunity for parents to have a solution focused conversation with an Educational Psychologist (EP) about any size concern they have about their child. This specifically addresses issues that parents would like support with in the home setting.

The consultation aims to provide the time and space needed to explore and unpick an issue you are experiencing with your child, and enable you to come up with some next steps to support you in moving forward. This can include signposting you to additional resources, as appropriate.

This is a stand-alone telephone consultation service. The EP will not undertake any follow up work/assessments or refer your child on to other services as a result of the consultation.

Common issues people want to discuss include, but are not limited to:

• Anxiety

• Emotionally-Based School avoidance

• Social/friendship difficulties

• Attention difficulties

• Challenging behaviour​
